Saturday night I had a small panic attack after I decided to have a cup of coffee knowing that it’s bad for me. There was a lot of negative self-talk and I felt like I wouldn’t be able to reach my goals which made me feel horrible so I decided that Monday I will cash my coins and I would treat myself to a book and Starbucks. I go to cash my coins on Sunday and the machine was acting weird so I asked this guy if he could come help because I saw him do it so perfectly just a moment ago and he gladly did. Now at TD bank, you can cash your coins but if you’re not a member then they take 6% off your money but this guy had a card and offered to use his card so I could have all of my money. (thank goodness). The whole time, he and I kept talking and chit chatting and cracking jokes. After I got my money, he ended up coming with me to Barnes and Noble to get my books. I got these two lovely books:
If you would like a separate blog most on them, I will definitely make one.
Anyways, after getting the books we walked around and did school stuff for him. We ended up getting pizza and Starbucks and we went to the library. I didn’t daily vlog anything that day. I didn’t want to whip my camera out on a stranger but when I did he was pretty okay with it. He and I spent the whole day walking around and talking. I am so very happy that I made a great friend yesterday. It was exactly what I needed. I came to some great realizations that day. I learned a lot.
The universe sends gifts. You just have to be open to receiving them. 🙂

I realize now that you all don’t know me at all. I figured I should write a little post on myself. I just started reading Girl Online by Zoe Sugg at 1 am. I cannot sleep at all and I have to be up early tomorrow so I will be so freaking miserable! 😪
But anyways, My name is Djenne. Pronounced Jah-Nay. I am 19 and I live in Brooklyn, NY. I’ve started a YouTube channel over a year ago called ThisIsMyBoringLife. Which is why this blog is called MyBoringBlog lol. I just try and keep things boring.
I am now in college studying Media Arts and to be honest. I kind of hate it. Throughout school, I’ve always been extremely bored. Like my teachers never teach me anything. I wish I went to school for writing or psychology or science but to be honest. I’m not even sure if I want to stay in school. I don’t know where it would lead. I’m in constant fear of growing up and hating my life. I just want to learn from the world around me. I want to stay creative and be able to express myself. I just want to share the love I have with the world.
I’m always interested in everything. I want to learn how to do everything like sew, properly edit and create videos, skateboard (I bought a $70 skateboard last year that I only used once because I’m too scared to fall on my butt lol). I want so badly to learn how to do photography. Sometimes I get too scared to learn how to do all these new things because I get so scared that I won’t be good enough (another constant fear). I won’t try a lot of things because I’m scared but anyways.. here is how I fell in love with books…
When I was little, I loved reading but then I got so annoyed when teachers would force books on you and they want you to write about them. I hated that so as an act of rebellion, I stopped reading. My freshman year of high school, I felt so alone being in a new environment so I decided to start reading. I remember that I used to go to Barnes and Noble and I’d pick some books out but I’d never finished reading them. I can’t even remember them now but the book that I finally finished was Forever by Judy Blume and I loved it so much. I got into reading romance and my favorite author was Susane Colasanti. I adored all of her books, I’ve read each one but the most recent two. As you all know, I couldn’t finish Now and Forever and I have yet to pick out City Love but anyways.
I fell in love with a new genre of books when my sister recommended that I read the Hunger Games and I loved that book so much that I needed more like that so I read the Legend trilogy by Marie Lu and I cannot express how much love I feel towards that book. It is absolutely amazing. I totally recommend it to everyone lol.
Sidetone if you were wondering, one of my favorite books is Dash and Lily’s book of Dares. That book is so beautiful. It’s the only book I’ve ever reread. I always get distracted when I find new books but that book? I love it oh so much!
Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed. If you have any questions or book recommendations please leave them in the comments below ✌🏾
Hey! I hope you all had an amazing weekend!
This weekend I’ve finished The Treatment by Suzanne Young.
I couldn’t sleep Saturday night so I decided to try and finish my book.
Starting to read this book was a bit of a letdown. It was such a slow book. There wasn’t much progression in the story and when more information popped up. I wasn’t as shocked as the other people who left reviews on Goodreads. The ending of the book was very good and I really enjoyed reading it last night. There was some character development and I must say, I completely loved the relationship between the two main characters. I’m such a sappy romantic! Lol. I give the book 3 stars. It was dry at first but it ended very nicely.
I’ll post more soon. My next book will be Girl Online by Zoe Sugg and I have a goal to read the whole book in one day.
This summer, I haven’t read as much as I usually do. I’ve been distracted with relationships and honestly, self-pity but I know I feel great when I engulf myself into a new book so here are some books that I plan on finishing before summer ends in a few weeks.
The first book is The Program by Suzanne Young. I actually finished this book last night and I’ve started The Treatment (the second book of the trilogy). I enjoyed reading this book. It’s so intense but so good. I don’t want tot to give anything away but this book was so deep. I loved reading it and I can’t wait to finish The Treatment.
The second book Black Widow: The Finely Woven Thread by Nathan Edmondson. I’ve already started this today while I was getting the Treatment. I should be finished by tonight if there are no distractions.
The last book is Girl Online by Zoe Sugg. I wanted to read this book since it came out but I’ve always put it off. I love reading books from YouTubers because I love supporting them. It’s kinda my dream to become a YouTuber so I always support and give them love. Plus, I’ve heard nothing but great things about this book.
That is all so far. If I add anything else I’ll create another blog post.
Enjoy your day or night or evening or a cup of tea or coffee or book. Just Enjoy!
I hope all is well!
So.. I need to talk about this book. This book is written by Suzzane Colasanti. I enjoyed reading her books in high school when I was so in love with romance. Her books were so great to read and I told myself that no matter what I’d read each and every one of her books…. but this one book!
I couldn’t finish it! I hated reading it. It seemed like things dragged on with no real point. I was very disappointed while reading this book. I was more than halfway through and I realized that I couldn’t take it. This book definitely gets maybe one and a half stars. The characters were interesting but I just don’t feel like there was a plot.
I hope all is well, Everyone! I am sending positive vibes out to you for this weekend.
For my 16-19 books, I’ve read Ms. Marvel. To be honest, this was the first superhero comic that I’ve read. I went on a comic spree and I bought loads of them but I haven’t read them. I love everything superhero so I was so proud of myself when I finished reading all these comics and even more proud when I realized that these 4 comics helped me reach my reading goals!
I have no complaints 5 stars for my captain!
5 stars for Ms.Marvel. I love my superheroes of color!
Harley Quinn is my love so 5 stars for the suicide squad
Ummm… have you not gotten what I’m doing here? These comics were gold and deadpan? Seriously?? I cracked up reading this. 10 points for Deadpool!! (5 stars)
So for book 15, I completely enjoyed reading Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. I enjoyed reading about this cool new world where people have these kick-ass powers.
I really enjoy reading dystopian books especially when there are powers involved!
I really cannot wait to read more into this series and get to know this world and the characters.
I give this book 4 out of 5 stars!
