Audiobooks!

Hey guys! Let’s start this thing!

Let me start by saying I used to be so against audiobooks. I believed if you want to read a book then READ it but recently. I’ve been loving them! I enjoy listening to them while I’m reading or listening while I’m doing other things you can’t normally d while reading. Like the dishes or cleaning or taking a shower. I love it!

But the problem is that it is so expensive! Why!?!?! Books are about $20 or less. I always buy my books for less than 10 dollars so why must I spend an addition 20 on an audiobook that I get just to read along with my book? I don’t know other people use their audiobooks the way I do. I’ve already used up my free audiobook from audible.com and I’m working on getting a free one from audiobooks.com but after that, then what? Scouring the internet to find something free?

I’m currently reading Cress by Marissa Meyer and I found an audio on the youtube but it was only part one and can’t find any other parts anywhere. Hence why I’m trying to get it free from audiobooks.com. I have good news though. It has come to my attention that there is something better to use. And guess what, no $14.95 a month to only get one book for free! They are just completely free. Get a library card! I know. How the hell can a library card help? Get the app Overdrive or 3M and add on your card and you can borrow an audiobook or ebook and a physical book. The only downside is that it literally is a digital library.  Some books are on hold and you can’t get them when you want them you have to wait. Honestly, nothing is perfect but FREE! I’ve just started using it. My sister loves it so I just hope that I love it as well.

Thank you. I hope you’ve enjoyed and if you find any free audiobooks websites or easier ways to get them. Please let me know!

  1. […] Being a Lit major and getting free audiobooks is a fucking amazing. I have so many books that I need to finish. Thank goodness I have the overdrive app! I wrote a post if you’re confused. […]
