Hello all!
Can we please talk about the Ice Planet Barbarian series!?!?!
I kept seeing people rave about this series on TikTok and I had no clue I’d be so down bad for this series!
The Description:
You’d think being abducted by aliens would be the worst thing that could happen to me. And you’d be wrong. Because now, the aliens are having ship trouble, and they’ve left their cargo of human women—including me—on an ice planet.
And the only native inhabitant I’ve met? He’s big, horned, blue, and really, really has a thing for me…
(All books can be found on Kindle Unlimited and/or your local library!!)
My Thoughts:
I started this series fully expecting not to like it. I’ll be honest—I don’t trust a lot of TikTok romance book reviews. People tend to hype up the same books, and when you actually read them, they’re often… not that great.
But this series? It sucked me in. I’ve read every single book, and while some of the romance plots didn’t hit for me (not gonna lie, some of these alien men are toxic as hell), the series as a whole is fantastic. A few of the captured mates fall way too hard for their captors and their gross behaviors, but for the most part, it’s an addictive read.
World-Building Done Right:
The world-building in this series is amazing. It takes place on—shocker—an ice planet, and the native inhabitants are these happy hunter-gatherers. I loved how much background detail the author put into this world. There’s so much room for growth and expansion, and as the series progresses, we learn more about the planet’s ecosystem, livestock, cultures, ancestry, and even how the planet itself evolves. It’s the kind of world-building that makes me absolutely nerd out.
I started the series because I was curious about alien dck, and I stayed for the world-building. … And, well, more alien dck. (THE SPUR!!)
Plot & Themes:
The series follows women stranded on this ice planet, doing everything they can to survive. They blend Earth cultures with the customs of this new world, creating a beautiful, collaborative society. These women aren’t just love interests—they’re the key to reviving a dying population, and they take that responsibility seriously. By the end of the series, they’ve even built a fully functioning school for the next generation.
Two of my favorite books in this series!
Barbarian’s Touch

Lila has never been more frightened in her life, but when Rokan appears, everything changes.
When I wake up on the ice planet, I’m scared of everything: This place is cold, silent, and the locals look more like blue devils than aliens. To make matters worse, one of the strangers decides I’m going to be his girlfriend and kidnaps me away from my sister. I’m completely and utterly alone. What’s a girl to do?
Well, this girl escapes.
Of course, that means I go from the frying pan into the fire, and my situation gets even more dangerous. Just when I have no hope left, a new hero shows up. Sure, he’s blue, horned, and has a tail. He’s also fierce, protective, makes me purr…and thinks I’m perfect.
But is what we have real or just a mating instinct?

Barbarian’s Prize

Tiffany doesn’t care about all the attention she’s getting from the alien men, but there is one particular hunter she can see herself with—if only she can find a way to move forward from the past…
It’s hard being the most popular girl on the ice planet. The alien men are falling all over themselves to impress me in the hopes that I’ll take them to my furs. But they don’t know my secrets. And they don’t realize that behind my smile, I just wish they’d take their courting presents and their competitions for my affection and go away. I want to be left alone. But on a planet where women are a scarcity, that won’t be happening. If I had to choose a mate . . . it’d be someone with a gorgeous blue body, big horns, and the most intense gaze ever. Someone who knows the truth of what happened to me and why I don’t like attention. Patient, handsome Salukh knows my secrets. He knows why I have nightmares and why I don’t trust anyone. He’s willing to let me “experiment” with him. I can use him. Take what I need from him to work through my trauma. He’s been a good friend and the best shoulder to cry on.
There’s one small problem.
When it comes to us, he doesn’t just want to be my friend. He wants to be my forever. And day by day, he’s getting harder to resist. . . .
